2023 Everglades District Awards Dinner
The Everglades District Dinner was held May 12th at the South Miami Elks Lodge. The theme was Rockin The Everglades. Everyone came dressed in themed attire. District Chairman Dan Wall peeled of t-shirt after t-shirt that had the name of a rock band. Other notable costumes were KISS from Pack 280 and Guns and Roses from Troop 719. Sparky Awards were presented to Eileen Mata Pack 8, Laura Trueba Pack 8, Luis Markivich Pack 280, Rebecca Kimsey Pack 280, Ivan Santiago Pack 280, Kim Foley Pack 280, Robert Lara Pack 280, Juan Muniz Pack 711, Jason Powell Troop 711, Albert Ros Troop 816, Mark Hadley Troop 248, George Skokan Troop 314, Laura Pittman Troop 314 and Jeremy Parker Pack 69.
- Scoutmaster of the Year: Brad Hadley Troop 248.
- Cubmaster of the Year: Greg Ortiz Pack 941.
- Chairman’s Award: Chris Zavatsky Pack 8.

Wood Badge beads presented
Troop 7 assistant Scoutmaster Massimiliano Galeazzi was presented with his Wood Badge beads at a troop court of honor on May 31st. His presenters were Emily Kahn who was the Course Director and Tony Romero, Troop Guide.
