- 1 can cherry pie filling
- 1 can chunky pineapple
- 1 box lemon cake mix
- 1 stick butter
- 8″ x 14″ baking dish
This is a great recipe when the need arises for a quick, sweet dessert. Here’s all you do –
Coat dutch oven interior with a little of the butter or cooking spray or oil.
DUMP both cans of fruit into the dish and mix (with the syrup).
DUMP the unprepared cake mix on top and spread evenly.
Cut the butter stick into 1/2 inch pieces and place uniformly on top.
Leave lid tightly in place. No peeking. Bake over medium heat on a gas burner for 30 minutes or until browned. In an open fire you might allow more or less time.
